ABOUT HONDA CIVIC EK

Honda Civic EK is one of the most successful and favourite model of all time in the car community. Growing as a middle class teenager, it has been a dream of every car guy to get EK and modify it according to his own sense. This car holds a very special place in the heart of every car guy. This car also being a part of one of the most famous car related movie of all time Fast and Furious made it really popular. Every guy back then and now wanted to have one of these.

EK is the sixth generation of Civic produced by Honda from 1995 until 2000(In 1998 Honda launched its facelift and called as crystal light). It was introduced in 3-door hatchback, 4-door sedan and 2-door coupe body styles in international market and 4-door sedan in Pakistani market. It has lots of variants in international market but only 2 variant EXI and VTI available in Pakistan. EXI comes with 1.5 litre engine while VTI comes with 1.6 litre. In 95 it was launched at a price of 7 lacs approximately nowadays it lies between 8 to 10 lacs. EK was one of those cars which have no major faults. When it launched at that time Indus Corolla was ruling the market and still Indus have more worth then EK. EK is the most stylish vehicle in that era and still it is. EK was the last generation of Civic to have front double wishbone suspension

 


HATCHBACK EK

Honda also introduced its hatchback variant for its younger audience as it was sportier and had a little more output power as compare to the sedan variant. It was a little lighter and faster than the other variant.


This car being a part of Fast and Furious movie was one of the reasons it became really famous worldwide. The legendary scene in which they use two black spoon Honda Civic Ek going really fast on a highway trying to do a robbery from a truck.
